CHALLENGE:
Biscotti Toback is in the top quartile of all CPA firms on Long Island, including the Big 4. They have successfully partnered with clients since 1978 in their growth from under five million dollars of volume to well in excess of 100 million dollars of volume. In need of larger office space, Biscotti Toback had turned to The Workplace Group for many years, to assist in both planning and furnishing their offices. Other than the immediate need to provide efficient and aesthetically pleasing working areas for existing employees, the biggest challenge was to anticipate and plan for expected growth in years to come and to oversee their move to their new location.

SOLUTION:
The management team at Biscotti Toback sat with one of their top salesmen, Frank Pita to design and discuss a three phase plan to take them out ten years. This plan included, going to look at office space, planning and designing that new space with all new workstations, new partners offices, data and electrical plans which would fit both their needs and their budgets. Based largely on input from The Workplace Group, Biscotti Toback ultimately decided to move its offices from Rockville Center to Garden City, New York. Over 20 work stations, 25 offices, conference rooms, file rooms, etc. were planned for and completed at the new location. All employees received their own defined workspace, enabling them to work with optimal efficiency. Ergonomically designed chairs, monitor arms and keyboard stands were also chosen to further increase employee efficiency as well as enhance comfort. And panels that separate bullpens and offices have been specified in staggering heights, providing privacy in a very attractive way without creating a boxed-in feeling.
