CHALLENGE:
As a cutting-edge company that provides GPS-based communication systems for clients that include city transit authorities and leading private-sector corporations, Clever Devices wanted its offices in Plainview, New York to immediately convey the essence of its business. At the same time, the rapidly growing company needed a workflow design that would successfully meet the demands of a steadily increasing roster of employees. The Workplace Group was brought in to meet both requirements and bring it all together in a seamless and unique way.

SOLUTION:
Initially, The Workplace Group engaged the services of an interior designer who came up with some inspired ideas for Clever Devices. Yet, with a commitment to providing its client with the best possible workspace solutions most cost effectively, The Workplace Group evolved the original designs into an approach that made the most of available budgets. Products that could be purchased at a very reasonable cost were ingeniously given a new twist. For example, task chairs in a stunningly different red color were utilized. Floors that provided lively visual stimulation were chosen. To portray the urban transit look so important to Clever Devices’ management, wall murals depicting transportation vehicles were installed. In fact, the entire office revolves around a “bus” theme.

RESULT:
Clever Devices has new offices that meet all the criteria it wanted: a unique look that communicates what its business is all about, entirely different color schemes that underscore the company’s originality, and productive workflow that allows more work to be completed in less time. Moreover, thanks to assistance from The Workplace Group and the innovative offices we helped create, Clever Devices is able to more successfully attract and recruit talented people to work at its highly specialized company.
