North Shore LIJ
North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health SystemFeinstein Institute for Medical Research

CHALLENGE:
With the goal of creating the country’s top Alzheimer’s research facility, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System recently entered the finishing stages on the new 4-story, 56,000 square-foot Feinstein Institute for Medical Research in Manhasset, New York. Everything about this ambitious project has been carefully planned to make the Institute the quality standard by which all other similar facilities are measured. The Workplace Group took on the challenge of assuring that furnishings and workflow at the facility would meet and in many cases exceed the quality demands of the overall project.

SOLUTION:
The Workplace Group conducted exhaustive research of its own, eventually locating the only furnishings manufacturer in the country who could meet the many challenges of the Feinstein project. That manufacturer was Goelst USA, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Goelst offered more than 71,000 products to choose from, enabling all criteria for modularity, material usage, sustainability, and warranty (10 years) to be met.

RESULT:
Currently, creation of the new Feinstein Institute for Medical Research is in its final phases. And North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System is delighted with the results. The furniture is aesthetically engineered, re-configurable, meets green standards and is laid out for the utmost in productivity. In addition, North Shore LIJ was able to collaborate with a single vendor, The Workplace Group, not only for their lab and office furniture but also for workflow design and installation project management
